According to Bangkok post 17 Jan 2013. It was said that Thailand is a pleasant place for retirees. Do you agree with that ? as I noticed when I went to particular are such as Huahin, Pattaya, Phuket, Surat Thani, and Bangkok. Many foregin retriees buy real estate such as condominuim, apartment , and house. This is also a trend of tourism of Thailand.
However, Thailand has been ranked No 9 on the World's Top 10 Retirement Havens for 2013. The low cost of living and value entertainment spending has lead to this achievement, although it has scored low in special benefits for retirees.
According to the Thai Tourism Department of the Tourism and Sports Ministry, about 2,000 tourists applied for a long-stay visa (valid for a year) last year, up from 1,775 the year before. Most of them were European and Japanese tourists.
Another trends which review the Thailand is tourism is no visa entry, low cost of living , and thai is friendly
